Description

 The Kansan was created to represent a call for art for the upcoming Bon Appetit show.  The upcoming show is food oriented to represent local iconic restaurants, dishes, and family classics.  The show will run from November to December 2025 at the NOTO Arts Center.

This is an original acrylic art painting by Phoebe Trites on 16 x 20 canvas created August 2025.

Custom frame designed to allow painting to hang on outdoor patio of The Wheel Barrel.  The frame is custom built from pine that has been treated with an exterior rated spar urethane finish.  Protective plastic has been installed on the front and back of the frame.  An epoxy plus exterior rated caulking was used to seal the gaps around the plastic on the front.  The plastic on the back was sealed with a thick beading of exterior rated caulking.  All wood gaps were also sealed with exterior rated caulking to create a weather resistant frame.  Heavy duty loops with thick heavy duty wire allows this heavy framed painting to be hung on an exterior wall hook.
